Mission

New Horizons Senior Center empowers older adults to live independently, engage meaningfully, and pursue lifelong growth through innovative programs, personalized services, and vibrant community connections.

History

New Horizons was founded in 1976 by Dr. William Mace, a geriatric psychologist who was passionate about keeping older adults independent, active and in their own homes. Originally known as the “Lower Merion Senior Center,” the Center was first located at St. Mary’s in Ardmore. It moved to Narberth in 2003, and changed its name to New Horizons Senior Center. In 2011 New Horizons was acknowledged for its program excellence and was granted provider status by Montgomery County Office of Senior Services. In 2013, the Center moved to its current site at Narberth Borough Hall.
