Last Session: July 2025: "ClearCaptions -- Aid for the Hearing Impaired"
Hearing is a vital part of how we experience the world around us….but not everyone is able to enjoy that sense the same way.  Old or young, there are many individuals with hearing issues, and as we get older, our hearing changes even more.  Fortunately, there are several programs available to help.

On Wednesday, July 30, ClearCaptions Services will come to New Horizons to host a Trivia Game session and talk about one of the options offered to those who suffer from hearing loss: captioning on phones.  Similar to captions on a television, ClearCaptions offers real-time written call captions of what callers say on a special home phone, personal mobile device, or computer.   Come and learn about this vital resource for the hearing impaired and how it can help an individual to interact with the auditory world.
Free refreshments will be provided during the talk and Trivia session, or you can come early and enjoy a tasty 3 Cheese Sandwich, served at Noon.  (Please register for the meal before July 23)
