Film Club: "Lion" with Ellensue Jacobson Meet virtually with other film enthusiasts to watch the chosen movie for this month, and then discuss it on a later date. All Seniors welcome! This Month: “Lion”: The heart wrenching tale of a young man’s search for his birth family in India after having been living in Australia for 25 years. 5 year old Saroo (Sunny Pawar) finds himself lost in Calcutta, 1,000 miles away from home, when he accidentally falls asleep on a train that then leaves the station. Unable to communicate with those around him, Saroo struggles for some time on the streets until he is sent to an orphanage, where he is soon adopted by an Australian family who take him to Tasmania. 25 years later, an adult Saroo (Dev Patel) has grown up in a prosperous home with loving adoptive parents. But he is plagued by memories of the family he was born to, and eventually sets out to try to reconcile his dual desires for both his past and and his present, searching for the answer to where he truly belongs. We joined Tour Guide Betsy on a tour of the 19th Century Gold Mining Settlement of Johannesburg, where Nelson Mandela once lived, visited the incredible Victoria Falls, one of the world's largest waterfalls, and caught a glimpse of elephants in a protected sanctuary where they roam free.

Outdoor Tai Chi Class
Meet at the Gazebo near the Narberth Library (by the parking lot next to Narberth Borough Hall), weather permitting (or INSIDE at Narberth Borough Hall, 2nd Floor, if the weather is bad) with Rosalie Pressman, certified Tai Chi instructor Seniors are invited to the Gazebo near the Narberth Library, where Rosalie Pressman will teach the Yang Family Style Tai Chi. Improve your concentration and balance, while lifting your spirits, with this meditative exercise outside in the sun. Please remember to RSVP for each individual day, either by clicking the appropriate button(s) below or by calling 610 664-2366. We will be contacting everyone each week to confirm the location of the class, as Tai Chi may move indoors if there is inclement weather.
